Mobile portal aims to become the must-have tool for mobile web surfers

San Diego, CA (MobilityNewswire) December 4, 2007 — MobileInfocenter is pleased to unveil a new mobile web portal created specifically for smartphones and mobile devices. PhoneFavs (http://phonefavs.com) is the first social bookmarking system completely designed and optimized for mobile phone users. The free service enables users to keep an always-available list of bookmarks for web sites that can be easily viewed on a mobile browser.

With PhoneFavs, users can store, organize and share bookmarks and access them on any device, anywhere. PhoneFavs’ deceptively simple homepage serves as a gateway to PhoneFav’s three main services: online bookmarks or Favs, a handpicked mobile link directory, and a “mobilizer” which automatically adapts standard web pages for improved viewing on smaller screen devices.

PhoneFavs solves the problem of “how do I start and where do I go to find information and entertainment on the mobile web.” With a free account, users can enjoy the social bookmarking features and create their own customizable mobile homepage. Users can also import their existing bookmarks from del.icio.us, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer and browse for the latest software for their smartphone.

“PhoneFavs is a portable tool-chest for enriching your browsing experience on a mobile device,” said Ryan Kairer, founder of MobileInfocenter and principle architect of PhoneFavs. “With PhoneFavs at your disposal, you can save cool sites and longer articles to read on your phone in a mobile friendly format at your leisure. It also serves as a gateway to discover new sites and services designed especially for the mobile web.”

PhoneFavs is accessible on the web at http://phonefavs.com or via pfavs.com, and is available for any device with a web browser — smartphones, feature-phones, iPhone’s, PDA’s, tablets and portable computers.

I always considered accessing sites on mobile is quite difficult. Still I am not able to understand how people usually manage it. Quite thrilled about Phonefavs.

I access my SN sites through mobile via SMS and email. I don't need internet or GPRS for this, so it is quite economical for me. I can do a lot of stuff.. If you want to know about this just check this site..
