A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

The Fast Pages Boosts Mobile Web Phone Sales

image Access to mobile internet sites has been haltingly cumbersome. Typing urls on tiny keyboards and ending up on unfriendly websites has discouraged widespread use of the mobile internet. For this reason, sales of web-enabled phones have not been what they could be … despite all the attention paid to iPhone.

A new company, The Fast Pages is playing a key role in catalyzing sales
of mobile internet devices. TFP’s completely free website makes mobile web
access and surfing a breeze. And until one phone company makes The Fast
Pages theirs exclusively, it is available on all mobile web phones for
free.

This is a boon for phone sellers. For the first time, they can perform
demos which show how easily accessible the mobile web really can be. With The Fast Pages saved as a homepage or bookmarked, sales staffers can instantly take prospects to a meaningful menu of mobile friendly websites.

Then, by simply touching or clicking on a selected menu item, the customer is taken to one of a myriad of sites pre-screened for mobile compatibility. Once onsite, the user can instantly click on thousands of TFP’s actively linked phone numbers. And all of this is done with virtually no typing.

Now, new buyers can quickly view the power of the mobile web by easily
accessing thousands of newspapers and magazines, animated weather, flight delays/tracking, traffic reports, emergencies, WiFi locations, all airlines
and airports, restaurants, local movies, hotels, ski conditions and TV Guide. They can also find best shopping sites, PayPal, embassies, maps, directions, travel, ATM locations, health, stock quotes, weather alert, sports, Starbucks locator, best gas prices, package tracking, tickets to everything, best search engines, local search, currency exchange, medical resources, translations and so much more.

To emphasize TFP’s effectiveness as a sales tool, CEO Chris Chilvers
suggests an interesting test: “Go into any store which offers web-enabled
phones (best on phones with fast scrolling ability). Ask a salesperson to
enter ‘http://www.thefastpages.com‘ into any smartphone and have them test out a few items. Then ask if using this site will help increase sales. In
our experience, every time it has been a resounding ‘yes!’”
