(Following up on Jack Cook’s Original Post)

As we all know, sometimes pulling out that stylus is just too much of a pain or too risky.  Be it a pen cap or an agile finger, we’ve all tried impromptu stylus replacements that don’t quite hit the mark.

Point-UI is a solution that will pique the interest of the Windows Mobile 5/6 Phone users.  It’s a GUI designed with your finger in mind.

I’ve played around with it a bit on a Treo 750.

There are a few kinks (the button lock didn’t quite work), but overall it’s very well done and definitely has a nice balance of eye-candy and utility.  There aren’t any application replacements, so it’ll launch the normal WM applications when you tap them.

Point-UI is definitely a good start to a great app.  The ongoing development seems very healthy and we can look forward to improvements in the future.  Unfortunately, it only works on phone devices at the moment, but they’re working on that.

Again, Point-UI is free so why not check out their Youtube Demo and give it a spin?
