According to news just posted at Gottabemobile, TabletKiosk will be selling a upgraded version of the TabletKiosk v7110 called v7110e soon. The reviewed UMPC will have a better VIA processor running at 1.2 GHz and a 100 gram digitizer which more touch friendly.

New eo V7110e spec.

  • 1.2 Ghz Via
  • 100 gram digitizer instead of 120 gram for soft touch
  • Extended battery is standard
  • No other changes – same basic unit
  • $998, shipping in Feb

The series v7110 or Amtek T700 is one of the UMPC that have sold more units during the last year. And one of the only problem with this device was the weak and hot processor from VIA. Amtek which is the maker of this UMPC upgraded the series to Amtek T770 using this second generation of C7M processor from VIA that work a lot better and now is replacing the old one from the 700 series too. That’s a good move though I would be gladder to see some really new devices coming from Amtek.
