I posted a few of my 2007 Best of Lists and Susan shared a nice greeting at the stroke of midnight from the East Coast last night from her phone. Now I am going to share some fireworks from the 2 hour long show I put on in our neighborhood last night.

Thanks to all that read AXIMSITE, Mobilitysite, GotZune, and the others. Thanks to all that help out around here. We are working on a About Us page to show all the folks that do so much to make this a great site and a fun place to be!

If you want to see part of what we fired off into the sky last night, here is my front seat…

A good friend of mine, Judie Lipsett, shared a very cool checklist for everyone to use to reflect on 2007. I thought I would also share the same! Read on for my answered checklist…

YEAR IN REVIEW

When you consciously review your year, you may notice how little you noticed it as it whizzed past. To review is to re-view. To rewind, pause, look again. And in looking again, to see more clearly.

You may be astonished by how much happened. And how much didn’t. By how much has changed. And how much hasn’t. You may laugh or sigh to notice that your life remains its usual jumble of contradictions.

In 2007, I gained _______________________________________.

I lost _______________________________________.

I stopped _______________________________________.

I started _______________________________________.

I was hugely satisfied by ____________________________________.

And frustrated by _______________________________________.

I am so embarrassed that I _________________________________.

Once again, I _______________________________________.

Once again, I did not _______________________________________.

The biggest physical difference between me last December and this December is _______________________________________.

The biggest psychological difference between me last December and this December is _______________________________________.

I loved spending time _______________________________________.

I should have spent more time ________________________________.

I regret buying _______________________________________.

I will never regret buying ____________________ even though with that money I could have bought ___________________________________.

I _______________________________________ way too much.

I didn’t _______________________________________ enough.

_______________________________________ drove me crazy.

Was _____________________ crazier than ever last year? Or was it me?

The most relaxing place I went was _____________________________.

I feel so ___________________________ when I write that down.

Why did I go to _______________________________________?

The best thing I did for someone else was ______________________.

The best thing I did for myself was _______________________________.

The best thing someone did for me was _________________________.

The one thing I’d like to do again, but do it better, is  _________________.

And on to my own reflections on this….

In 2007, I gained (or regained my sanity) I also gained a ton of online friends that make the online world so much more enjoyable.

I lost more sleep than my doctor recommends.

I stopped worrying about what others thing of me and do my own thing the way I want to do it.

I started smoking again. I am so bad.

I was hugely satisfied by the progression of the websites.

And frustrated by the growth of the websites. Gotzune.com has grown in readership VERY fast, Mobilitysite is growing slowly, but Aximsite readership is down some (I understand that with no Axim, there is not many getting new ones, but….I can hope) Overall, we have gained a ton of readership, but not as fast as I expect. I am spoiled though.

I am so embarrassed that I am not really embarressed by anything.

Once again, I worked too much. A full time job, the websites, and a family make for lots of work.

Once again, I did not spend as much time with my family as I hoped to.

The biggest physical difference between me last December and this December is I gained a ton of weight.

The biggest psychological difference between me last December and this December is I feel like I made changes that make me a better, more relaxed person when dealing with online experiences.

I loved spending time with GADGETS.

I should have spent more time with my kids. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a bad dad, but I do need to find a little more time.

I regret buying Nothing.

I will never regret buying GADGETS even though with that money I could have bought CAR.

I Bite my fingernails way too much.

I didn’t SLEEP enough.

_______________________________________ drove me crazy. (pass)

Was ???? crazier than ever last year? Or was it me?

The most relaxing place I went was CTIA in Orlando Florida.

I feel so "whatever" when I write that down.

Why did I go to CES 2007? Because it was fun, but too big, that’s why I am not going this year.

The best thing I did for someone else was … Ask them. I did a lot that I feel good about.

The best thing I did for myself was quit worrying about what others say about me. Stopped worrying about negative comments on YouTube. This made me a better person. I love what I do and the way I do it and who cares if some YouTube troll doesn’t.

The best thing someone did for me was … PASS. Way too many to name. This is a good place to thank all the folks that read my sites and all the contributors to Mobilitysite, Aximsite, and other sites I run.

The one thing I’d like to do again, but do it better, is get our podcast going more regularly. I also plan to make it a video podcast as well so I can show things that I am talking about.
