Not your average smartphone

HG-Haier’s dual SIM card phone is a pretty cool device if you carry two SIM card devices.  Besides “lightening the load” you have to carry, it will allow you to receive calls from either SIM but it won’t allow you to place calls at the same time time … who cares, if you can receive on both that is a huge advantage.

Expected to arrive in the US, I expect this might well be a very popular device with some folks…

Other feature include a micro-SD slot, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE and a 2 megapixel camera.  Haier has indicated that it is in talks with US carriers so we might see the HG-99 soon … let’s hope so.
