It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.

I have not experienced this on WLM on my mobile phone using my home wifi or AT&T network…..but it appears MANY others have….. how about you?

Prompt: 30 day trial message upon signing into Windows Live Messenger.

The message informs the user that they are starting a 30 day trial period, after which they will be able to buy an additional 30 days access.

  • Seems to be network and device agnostic
  • Also seems to be occuring on Symbian devices
  • 3rd party IM clients (e.g. Palringo are unaffected
  • Other Windows Live client functionality (mail sync, contact sync) is unaffected

Update: I am waiting on Microsoft’s Official Response to this. We have been notified that Microsoft is aware of this. I will update this post when I hear more. (Chris)
