The international CTIA WIRELESS 2008 tradeshow, the premier global event representing the $500 billion global wireless industry, today announced the participants and agenda for its Infrastructure Roundtable, scheduled to take place Tuesday morning, April 2 in the Barron Room at the Las Vegas Hilton. CEOs from Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Nortel will discuss real-world plans and technology developments hastening the availability of 4G services for mobile subscribers.
The roundtable discussion will feature the following executives:
- Patricia Russo, CEO, Alcatel-Lucent;
- Carl-Henric Svanberg, CEO, Ericsson;
- Simon Beresford-Wylie, CEO, Nokia Siemens Networks;
- Mike Zafirovski, CEO, Nortel
“Mobile subscribers are demanding sophisticated services, and as a result, mobile operators are partnering with equipment vendors to move technology forward to make the high-speed, data-intensive mobile experience a reality,” said Robert Mesirow, CTIA vice president and show director. “We’re thrilled to bring together such a high-powered group of influencers to discuss the real-world application of these technologies and to facilitate industry discussion about what it will take to bring these services to subscribers.”
As mobile standards and technologies continue to evolve toward all-IP networks and high-speed mobile data applications, carriers, equipment vendors and application providers are leveraging a broad range of technologies and approaches. Among the topics the industry leaders participating in the Infrastructure Roundtable will discuss are: the future of LTE and WiMAX, carrier requirements for delivering 3.5G and 4G services, and what it will take to drive adoption of next generation subscriber applications.
