Opera , one of my favorite alternatives to Pocket IE is about to go beta with its 9.5 version. Loads of new features are included, the panning and scrolling look great I can’t wait to try those out.

The video is a good run through of the browser, it’s looking really good.

The Opera Mobile 9.5 experience includes many of the innovations found in Opera’s trend-setting desktop browser including:

  • Intuitive user interface
  • Tabbed browsing
  • Improved text wrap
  • Page overview, zooming and panning

  • Save Web page for future offline access
  • Call phone number from Web page
  • Send link as SMS/MMS
  • Send image as SMS/MMS
  • Small Screen Rendering™
  • Password manager
  • Web address input auto-completion
  • History and bookmarks

Oh yeah, let's hope it has full Flash support like that Skyfire browser supposedly has!

Great post Vince! Opera is amazing. I wonder if Opera and other great software companies pay Microsoft to continue to develope Operating Systems and software that SUCK so that the theyt can continue to make money on how bad Windows Mobile is? It makes sense, because of how long WM has been so bad especially in the User Interface category!
