pc_capture39 I have had several emails asking how to listen to Audio on a Bluetooth Headset. Well Today I found a cab file (600K installed) that will do the trick! It was originally created by Triangle Powers (dot) com but they look to have closed their doors and stopped making PPC Software. However, on xda-developers there is a post that you can download this program and be able to listen to audio over a Bluetooth headset. I have tested this program and can say that it works. However, the audio quality is as good as what you would hear from a phone call, music is not that great, but it works. This will be great for listening to video steaming over the Internet like weather and sports scores that royally aggravates the people in the near vicinity! LOL

pc_capture40 First off, make sure you have a BT Headset paired with your Tilt/TyTN II. Download and install BTAwm6.cab. I installed it to main memory to start with. It may work from a storage card, but I have not tested it. Go to Programs/BlueTooth Audio and run the program. You will get the above pictured screen and just run the program. Eureka! That’s all you have to do. An icon exactly like the BT Settings icon will appear on your lower task bar. It’s a little confusing, but it is worth it. Tap the icon to again to exit the program.

Thanks to Ithown for letting us know about this program!

Sweet! Listening at work right now.

This is wonderful. But if you get a call, it shuts off the sound going to the BT.

Finally a software that works for Skype. I used to use the wired headset w/my skype&Tytn this one is the solution. Thanks for sharing!

will this also work for skype - is this essentially redirecting the audio from the speaker to the BT headset?

    thanks!

I think you're right... I've never had A2DP headphones, and this worked for me on an old, basic BT earpiece.

doesn't the Tilt support A2DP/Stereo BT natively? Or is this just a patch for those without an A2DP compatible bluetooth headset?

I have some co-workers who use the Jabra BT8040 headset and can stream audio without any extra program...and I recently ordered a Plantronics 855 BT stereo headset with that same understanding. TIA

Oh nevermind, it's only there while the program is running. I can live with that.

I've been planning on figuring out how to do this... this was about as easy as it gets.

    Thanks again!

Great post Doug! Now that's what I'm talking about!!!!

Now I just need to get rid of this lower task bar...

Works amazingly! I can now listen to webradio on the Tilt while in my car through the BT speakerphone.
  • I installed the cab file from the storage card without a problem.Like you said, sound quality is the same as a phone call but it's better than nothing. Thanks for your find.

Awesome find. I've had problems with my BT headset and my tilt, for some reason i could hear music when i would press the power button and put the tilt to sleep. I essentially couldn't have the tilt open and hear music at the same time. Thanks again
