Zumobi lets you access, enjoy, and share web-based content on your mobile phone in a new and fun way. It is a free application that you can easily add to phones running the Windows Mobile 5 or Windows Mobile 6 operating platforms.

Featuring a lush, intuitive Tile zooming interaction, Zumobi is optimized for on-the-go experiences across a wide variety of mobile platforms and phones. That means it can deliver the information or experience that you want using simple, one-handed operation of your phone. In addition, it will look good on a variety of screen sizes and orientations, even handling orientation changes on the fly.

Zumobi Tiles are always on, updated and waiting for you so there are no frustrating browser delays as you access the broad range of interactive content and customized experiences from top-tier providers and world-class brand partners. Check out the Zumobi Gallery for their growing portfolio of Tiles.

New features:
  • Smaller installation file
  • Significant performance improvements
  • First time sync within 5 minutes of first run
  • Ability to “exit” Zumobi from within the application
  • Improvements to placing new Tiles in your zoom space from the Gallery
  • Single installation file for all Windows Mobile devices

Zumobi can be downloaded either from the web or directly from the mobile device and is available for free.

  • This really looks like a technology in search of a problem.

Yes, the UI is pretty, but it really doesn't offer me anything useful, and seems to take plenty of resources to do it.

Okay, usually I don't scathe a product this badly, but let me say, Zumobi is brutal!!! It's a memory hog, it's slow, and it's unstable. It took a long time to install (due to it's size), and unfortunately is taking an equally long time to install. I would give it a 1 out of 10 (so basically, run away, run far far away).

On another note, I just installed Opera Mini 4 (there's a great forum post about it), and that little browser totally rocks. The content is super quick, and the program is small and stable. That one I give a 9 out of 10 (still missing a couple of things I'd like to see, but overall, awesome!!!)
