What’s more beautiful that a sunset over the ocean? A lime green Windows Mobile device. Yep. This device exsists. It’s the “coming soon” Altel branded, Motorola Q9c. This phone will soon be offered by Alltel, but if green is not your bag, then they will have a boring black one too.

Come on HTC, see this lime green? I want one of your sliders in the same color!

Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, and Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced that Motorola’s leading smartphone will be available in two color options, MOTO QTM 9c in licorice and MOTO QTM 9c lime, expected this summer. MOTO Q 9c and MOTO Q 9c lime provide on-the-go consumers with the tools and applications needed to keep up with their fast-paced professional and personal lives.

“MOTO Q 9c and MOTO Q 9c lime are great additions to Alltel’s portfolio of handsets,” said Brian Ullem, vice president of device strategy for Alltel Wireless. “This new generation Motorola smartphone provides customers with a powerful platform and a large suite of applications allowing convenience and productivity.”

I would like to comment on this smartphone. I have had the Blackberry Pearl, Curve, Had the HTC Touch Pro (which they all claim is the best on the market). and now i have the Moto Q 9c Lime.

The Blackberry Pearl was prone to freezing up every other day, battery pulls got annoying after awhile, other things as well. Won't go into detail.

The Blackberry Curve was a decent phone, still had it's downsides to it. Couldn't view practically any type of video on to it.

The HTC Touch Pro claimed to be the best phone on the market. I had it for 2 weeks and it wasn't too bad. Screen size was decent, touch screen was very responsive, features on phone were good. Call quality was bad, i tried 3 seperate HTC and still the problem. Reception was bad as well.

Now i get to the one that i'm currently with and enjoy very much, the Moto Q 9c Lime. It is perfect for me. It's like a put-in-your-pocket-and-go-laptop. Although, i only have one complaint about the overall phone...........camera is still a 1.3 mp. Other than that the phone is great.

If you were seeking an opinoin on the Moto Q 9c. I would recommend it to anyone. Very easy to use, very fun to have.

I have the black MotoQ9c and all I have to say is that they SUCK! I had 2 of the previous MotoQ's and I have had 5 MotoQ9c's get this, in less than a year! The MotoQ9c's freeze up and the texting stops working. Everytime I push the letter "I" all the letters after that come out blank. Sometimes I am unable to type anything. And Alltel does not seem to know what the problem is (figures!) so if you would like my opinion, they suck, do not get it.

I'm partial to green myself. Now if I could just colorize my other mobile gizmos.
  • Corona... yuk :)

I really like this color. Its different and not too radical.
  • doogald
Does it come with some Corona? No?

    Rats!

I do wish my Verizon Q9m had a camera key rather than the silly music key (and didn't have all that Verizon "special" media software on it, either.)

Only if there wasn't that ugly black border around the screen.
