People want access to key phone related functions from the now screen, e.g. type auto-complete contact lookup, web search (for finding phone numbers via google). Though the windows mobile today screen doesn't look as good as shell, I think it provides easier access to features compared to shell I find that this program looks good but lacks core functionality.
