dv2660se There is no doubt that laptops are now affordable, but which laptop do you buy now? The last 3 laptops i’ve purchased were impulse, closeout sale, buys under $600. I haven’t been burned, but I could have been easily burned not knowing which laptops are rated the best. Well, have no fear Underdog is here…. wait, scratch that… PC World is here.

PC World brings us a nice list of the best sub $1000 laptops

  1. HP Pavilion dv2660se
  2. Acer Aspire 5920-6954
  3. Dell Inspiron 1525
  4. Fujitsu Lifebook S7211
  5. Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-EZ2201

Head over to PC World for the rest of the list.

Keep in mind, these are reviewed prices and not end of the lifespan bargain prices. You might pick on of these up for under $500.

    Thanks Chris,
This is a good comparison, as I may be in line to get a laptop pretty soon, as mine started acting up, first battery stopped working, now the USB ports are wiggling and not working well, and finally the power button gave up the resistance and will not work well.
