AT&T is no longer a standard landline telephone company. With online ventures such as YELLOWPAGES.com, YELLOWPAGES.travel and 1-800-YELLOWPAGES, they have advanced into the online market nicely.

image AT&T, Inc, which is now known as the New AT&T representing the acquisition of SBC and Bellsouth, is now operating a suite of popular websites and services outside of the traditional landline telephone business. The company operates the very popular www.YELLOWPAGES.com, www.YELLOWPAGES.travel, and a free toll free directory service 1-800-YELLOWPAGES for those that hate paying for 411. It is now official that AT&T owns everything with the “Yellow Pages” branding within the United States.

  • www.YELLOWPAGES.com is the leading online business directory with more than 100 million searches performed each month. The site is a comprehensive service which will most likely replace the prehistoric telephone book.
  • www.YELLOWPAGES.travel is a very useful service for travelers that use multiple travel websites. Users can enter their travel information once such as Departure City, Arrival City, Times, Dates, One way etc. and search the results of the major travel sites at the time with one click. This is truly a very handy tool for all travelers.
  • 1-800-YELLOWPAGES is the leader of toll free directory assistance whereby providing telephone numbers for any business by name or category free of charge to callers. The days of paying $1.00 fees to 411 are over with.

When you need something on the go, http://www.yellowpages.com/mobile  and download the free tool that unleashes the power of local search on your mobile phone. (support for BlackBerry, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Pantech, and Samsung phones)

  • oh my goodness me...

A few years ago if i wanted to look up a business phone number, I'd have gone to the yellow pages. Then as they went online i'd search on their mobile website.

However now I haven't used them for ages... and either use google map search or windows live search to find the information.

I really wonder if they'll still be around in 5 years time.
