With all the upgrades, server moves, redesigns and such, I have been a little absent from the “looking at” new stuff. I am back on track and will start it off with an awesome phone from Sprint. It’s the Samsung Ace. The video is a bit longer than normal and I could have covered all that I did in 7-8 minutes, but hey… I can make movies longer, so why not. :)

Thanks for watching!

can someone tell me why my samsung ace won't allow me to watch videos on youtube?
  • Hi Chris,

I’m 100% sure that the Blackjack II connector is not compatible with the original Blackjack. BJ-II connector is slightly wider than the original BJ connector slot. As for the Ace I could not say. However in your video, it looks the same.

I placed a photo of both the BJ and BJ-II onto my web site comparing the two. The BJ-II is on the bottom. Note that the connector is wider.

  • Thanks for the clarification Monte. Are you sure about that connector? I am not 100% sure by any means, but it sure looks identical.

The LED is not there btw.
  • Thanks Chris,

I noted that the Mobilitysite was stagnant. Good to have it back and active!

One correction -- The proprietary connector for BJ and BJ-II are not the same. I have both phones and different cables for both. Not sure why they did that. Now the BJ-II cables _may_ be compatible with the Ace Thanks for the first look – very cool.

One other note is the BJ-II has an LED in the upper right corner of the phone. Did the Ace have an LED?

Thanks for the first look – very cool.
