Ziff Davis Media Inc. filed for bankruptcy this week, citing a decrease in revenue from print advertising and subscriptions as the main reasons. The company published PC Magazine and Electronic Gaming Monthly, among other technology and video game magazines.

The Debtors’ highly leveraged capital structure prevented them from developing sufficient Internet publications in a timely manner to satisfy their subscribers’ demands.

Clearly, there is a lesson here for all print publications.
