Beware! Do Not Rip Anything Rubber Out Of Your AT&T Tilt

att_tilt_lesson_3 My heart goes out to Jenn Lee over at Pocketables.net. She found out the hard way that a little piece of rubber hanging out on the back of your AT&T Tilt / HTC TyTN II should not be removed!

Looking at the picture to the right you can see the rubber “stopper” just to the right of the screw. Well, the one on the other side of her Tilt started to come loose and she proceeded to rip it out. Big mistake. The rubber stopper keeps the screen from going past square from the body of the device. Where this does not appear to bother Jenn that much, it would drive me CRAZY! I am an absolute perfectionist when it comes to my devices!

So lesson learned here, DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING from your Tilt. Head on over to Pocketables.net to see more pictures.

Hello I dropped my phone a few hrs ago. I started to run back to my truck in a lows parking lot at about 10:15 pm tonight and the phone popped out of my shirt pocket tumbled on 3 corners and slid across the pavement on its face for about 40 feet before coming to rest. I picked up my phone and looked at it, I was able to tell that the rubber stop was hanging out. I was able to press the rubber stop in with my pinkie nail. I was wondering if there is anywhere to buy replacement rubber stops incase these wear out.
    Thank you.. Tara
