HTC Major Announcement! Video Drivers To Be Released! Worst April Fools Joke Ever!

windowslivewriterhappyaprilsfoolsday-87c7aprilfools-3 In an absolute surprise email I got from a product manager at HTC, I have been told that we will actually be getting the Video Drivers we need in the near future! I have been pummeling HTC with emails and I have made some contacts there, and finally I got a response back!

With all of the bad press that has circulated about HTC and the lack of “proper” Video Drivers on board the Kaiser, as well as several other devices, HTC has been in negotiations with Qualcomm and has reached some sort of deal on the licensing of their drivers to make use of the 7200/7500 Chipset. This is awesome news indeed!

I was told that I would get an email later today with the expected target date!

    If this is one of those Fool's jokes I will never come to this site again. This is a touchy subject for everyone that has this device. I enjoy a good joke (Blazing Saddles best movie ever) but this would not be one I would enjoy.

  • There are lots of sad announcements today, as well as funny ones (about a Yah-oogle-soft merger), and then this hopeful one. April 1st is the day that EVERYTHING must be seen as a rumour.
    Perhaps it's a joke from you, perhaps from HTC? But let's hope it's not! :D
