The Browser wars rage on! SkyFire, Opera, FireFox, Pocket Internet Explorer, who will win? Which one do you prefer? Well enter a new player in the Mobile Browser Arena. TouchBrowser by MAKAYAMA. Before you get too excited about TouchBrowser, let me tell you that this Program is not intended to go heads up with the likes of Opera, SkyFire, or FireFox, when ever it is released. TouchBrowser simply makes use of your existing Pocket Internet Explorer to render web pages. So things like Flash and other websites currently giving you fits on PIE, will not perform any better on TouchBrowser. What will be enhanced is the navigation and User Interface. With that in mind, we will still need the likes of Opera, SkyFire to more fully enjoy the Internet on our Favorite device. Check this video out first:

This is the opening screen for TouchBrowser.
TiltSite Displayed full screen on TouchBrowser, no different than PIE.
Pressing up on the D-Pad will bring the user functions into view across the top in portrait, and down the side in landscape. From left to right is Back, Google Search, enter URL, Stop, Settings, and display between Mobile and Desktop versions.
Br pressing down and holding, more navigation. Notice that Favorites and and to favorites again make use of your existing PIE Favorites and functionality.
I will say this, my first impression is mixed at this point. I do like and think the Touch Navigation is really good however. I just wished for more ability in the browsers capability to display Flash and other content not able to be performed by PIE. There are some other issues I noticed that I will test out more thoroughly in my full review. But all in all, this looks to be a nicer way to navigate Web Content using a Pocket Internet Explorer capable browser More to come so stay Tuned!
