tungle This is something you just may want to check out if you have a lot of meetings that you need to schedule.  Tungle saves you an immense amount of time coordinating meetings. You can use it to share your availability with anyone before sending a meeting invitation.  What is special is that Tungle works across organizations, independent of the calendar or groupware system that is being used.  Sound interesting?  It did to me so I’ve decided that I want to give it try and thought that I would pass this on to you.

Coordinating meetings can take more time than the meeting itself. Outlook users have been confined to using solutions like Exchange, to help them in this task. Unfortunately, these expensive solutions fall short of solving the pain of coordinating meetings with people inside and outside their organizations, on different platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux) and calendar applications (Outlook, iCal, Google Calendar), across time zones and geographic locations.

Interested?  Read on after the break and find out a little more and there is a nice video that gives a terrific overview.  It convinced me to sign up for the beta!

Enter Tungle, the free meeting coordination service that dynamically allows users to see and share schedule availability without exposing any specific details of their existing appointments. Tungle allows Outlook users to coordinate meetings with anyone, across time zones, organizations, and even with people who are not using Tungle. It also works across platforms including iCal, Google Calendar and Lotus Notes. Tungle truly eliminates the time drain of e-mailing back and forth and phone tag to schedule meetings among many busy people

To make Tungle the scheduling application of choice when it launches on all platforms later this year, the company will release a full-featured solution for Microsoft Outlook users, both with or without Exchange, on April 16. Microsoft Office, the most widely installed Office Suite, has a commanding installed base of 550 million users around the world so that’s where CEO Marc Gingras decided to start.
