Google’s Android vs. LiMo Foundation

Yesterday, Verizon jumped on board with the LiMo foundation to join others with their open, hardware-independent, Linux-based operating system for mobile devices. This seems to be viewed as a true parallel to Google’s Android OS.

    I'm still shocked that Verizon - closed, proprietary Verizon; the one that used to disable BT functionality, changed phone software so that they all looked the same, would not activate CDMA phones from other networks - is suddenly opening up their network!
