iPhone vs. Xperia X1 vs. HTC Touch Diamond

This is pretty ironic considering I just ran a poll a couple days ago asking which hot new phone you were anticipating the most. The choices were the Sony Ericcson Xperia X1, HTC Touch Diamond, and the iPhone 2.0. Well after 129 votes, the HTC Touch Diamond list barely edging out the Xperia X1 36% to 29% but the iPhone 2.0 is close behind the Xperia. You run this poll on an Apple focused site and its 80% iPhone 2.0, so you have to understand the focus of the site. I am sure 99% of those reading this realize that we are Windows Mobile Focused for the most part. We report on all Mobile Devices, but the core user base and our sway is towards WinMo.

Well, that said… Engadget has run a couple photos of these devices (replacing iPhone 2.0 with the regular old iPhone).

As you can see from this photo, the Xperia X1 is quite a bit thicker than the current iPhone. Considerin that the Xperia has a slide out keyboard, it is amazing to see that it’s not obscenely thicker though. The HTC Touch Diamond on the other hand looks thinner than the iPhone by a slight margin. (of course this is based on just the visual from this photo.)

I'd take the X1 for the slide out and 6.1
  • What about the Samsung i900? Specs on the Samsung look really appealing. Is this device still on track?
