It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.

orange-htc-tytnii-windows-mobile-61 LOL, this title probably won’t sound so witty in a few hours when I wake up here on a Monday morning! Anyway, Orange will be getting a new ROM update for their TyTN II (Kaiser) from HTC that will be sporting Windows Mobile 6.1! According to Cellfanatic.com Orange users should see this roll out happen sometime this week. This directly aligns with the post I had last week that HTC would in fact be releasing a New ROM update for TyTN II users that would contain new drivers. So it could be possible then that we could be seeing these drivers after all! This newest information does however raise my  hope level from 5% positive that we will see drivers from HTC to about 15% sure we will see them. Keep in mind all of you fellow Tilt users that according to all of the sources about the ROM update with Drivers, we (AT&T Tilt owners) WILL NOT SEE THIS UPDATE. I will bet that AT&T is not wanting to pay for this update. Which, I can assure you, after their STELLAR sales and profit as of late:

Will be met with severe hostility from US AT&T Tilt Owners. If this holds true, you can always count on that the Chefs will have already cooked us up something special for our AT&T Tilts.

We’ll keep you posted with more information as it becomes available.

Still no update for the TyTN II from Orange...I'm sure one will be posted...but usually it's 6 months after everyone else has got it...and Orange's usual "Security Features" have been added that restrict the device's usage and makes some of the software on it pointless.

Sorry...I must have been hallucinating. Has there been any confirmation of the drivers on that ROM update. I clicked the link for the orange website for spits and giggles and I didn't see a link to DL it.............have we been duped again?

    buckyg-
I'm in the exact same boat! I also want to say thanks in advance to Doug for how-to video of the entire process. I've decided that I'm not going to flash a rom until it has significant benefits (i.e. video drivers), but it would be great to know exactly how ahead of time.
  • No problem. I checked and I don't have any lost comments on this post. I didn't delete them, and there weren't any spam comments for this article either? Very strange. Do you have a screen shot maybe?

Thank you in advance for the how-to, Doug Smith! Looks like I may have a reason to try a cooked ROM for my Tilt in the future. I also find xda helpful but overwhelming and don't want to read & memorize 1,234 threads and posts so I don't ask a n00b question and get bashed...
  • Terrence
how come there were 9 comments this morning and now there are 2?
  • Yes, I will be doing a video on how to install a Cooked ROM form start to finish. Hold tight, we are working on a better user resource also that should help everyone out.

well that's more proof to me that the update is in fact just for 6.1 and we'll still be screwed with no drivers. but man I hope i'm wrong

but if/when the drivers do come, do you think you guys could do a how-to on installing a cooked rom? theres so much information to go over at xda, its overwhelming
