Traveling to Boston?

logan According to one of our local stations, Logan airport is now one of the few airports in the country going paperless.  If you fly Continental Airlines, you will be able to use your device for check in.  There will be a boarding pass emailed to you and when you get to the airport, TSA security officers will scan the bar code contained in the email from the screen on your phone.

Continental is only offering this for flights out of Boston, Dallas, Newark, and Washington, D.C.  I expect we will see more coming in the immediate future.

  • Don't Panic!
    That reminds me of the CompUSA promotion back in '01 or so. You would get an email with a barcode for a discount then they would scan it at the register. Worked pretty well actually.
