It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.

t850 We saw some pics of the Palm Treo 850 that the BGR had the other day and now we are seeing the full specs from TamsPPC.  There is no question that this new Palm Windows Mobile device will spark an interest in a lot of folks that love Palm’s form factor:

Here are the full specs:

  • 14 mm in thickness, width 60 mm and length 113 mm
  • GSM, EDGE and UMTS HSDPA 3.6
  • assisted-GPS receiver
  • Wi-FI b/g
  • 320*320 screen, touch panel
  • micro-SD slot under the battery
  • 2 MP camera
  • 1500 mAh battery
  • a micro-USB connector for both power and sync
  • bluetooth 2.0 EDR + A2DP, 256 MB NAND-Flash (> 175 MB for user), 32 MB SDRAM
  • Windows Mobile Pro 6.1.

So what is very cool is that Palm is including this Treo 850 with WiFi and you will have one less charger to carry.  This baby will be using a MiniUSB port!

  • interesting to see another 320x320 touch device hit the streets (the SGH-i780 I'm playing with being the other). With that size screen I really hope they've put a decent processor in (520Mhz or better) and enough memory to make it viable (even 128MB is on the light side with some apps these days)
If they can get that right then the standard miniUSB would make this a real contender. If they put a lame processor and skimp on the RAM them it's not going to please people...
  • whydidnt
There is NO way they are so stupid as to release this with only 32 MB RAM, is there? The original 700w was strapped with issues because of Palm's cheapness with RAM. Current devices show that even 64 MB of RAM isn't enough for a high end device. If indeed Palm releases this with only 32 MB we can put one more nail in the coffin known as "Palm".
