Yeah but whats really retarded is the tilt has wifi and many internet programs designed for ppc’s wont connect to wifi on atnt’s tilt. other htc 8925 users wouldwide can use any program over wifi but not us….
its pretty unfair.. the tilt is not cheap and the wifi feature is great so why not let us take advantage of aim over wifi if we feel we want too, obviously wifi is very limited to where you are, but what if your at home and want to just use wifi for messaging, pretty unfair..

im going to try a webpage aim client..

Check out IM+. Lots of Tilt users have said great things about it. I am heavily considering getting a Tilt but do not want to pay for a data plan, so I’m gathering all the info I can. ;p

Just wanted to warn tilt users, this says it uses the data plan but every message i sent with it got charged as sms. I tried both oz and the new beta verison of aim. Both have charged me for over 100 messages. Love att’s service but starting to see why people like verizon. Att must have some sort of block on messaging with aim and they charge for all messages as sms. I can’t find anything that works.

yeah it works over a wi-fi connction. but why not mms plan? my other IM client workswith mms. makes no sense!!

It uses the data plan, not SMS. They “recommend an unlimited data plan”

Yeah, it’s definitely great that they release a new AIM client (the old one sucked), but like TiltUser I am wondering whether or not it uses SMS or the data plan.

There is no reason for ATT to use SMS other than to try to make money off SMS.

Anyone know?

I use my TyTn with tmobile and i dont have a data plan just the 5.99 tzones plan, i can use instant messanger with this plan but for some reason i can not connect to this program. does anyone know if i need to change something or will it just not work with the tzones plan?
