I tried driver detective and I ended asking for my money back. I simplified the process in my article, they do not put the drivers right to be accessed by other users in the database, they process the drivers to be sure of course that there is not any virus or trojan and after that they prepare some kind of installation CAB but with their own format and extension. So things are not that "stupid" like you though they are. ;)

It's actually not a good idea at all to use a program that uploads drivers frm your pc to their database. Stupid actually. Because then the drivers aren't coming from the manufacturer. Anybody could create a trojan and name it as a driver and spread it around the world. i think this company is going to be shortlived.... i'd try driver detective (http://www.drivershq.com) or the free radarsync ( http://www.radarsync.com ) instead
