HTC Touch Diamond Thoughts from Gartenberg

closeThis post was published 1 year 5 months 20 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.

Michael Gartenberg has been pawing the Diamond and shares his quick thoughts so far…

2. The VGA resolution along with the TouchFlo 3D UI is really pushing the limits of the processor. Every so often, the unit lags a half second or so behind me. It’s not horrible but it is annoying.

3. It’s possible for most users to use this device without every seeing Windows Mobile underneath. TouchFlo UI is lovely to look at and work with and changes the whole Windows Mobile experience into something that looks like it was built in this century. Microsoft, please note what HTC is doing here.

4. Following a gadget trend, this device is extremely caress-able but it also will show every fingerprint and smudge. Matte finishes anyone?

So, let me get this strait, users that don’t know this is a Windows Mobile device could continue to not know this is a Windows Mobile Device? Cool.

users will automatically know it's a Windows Mobile device when they experience the lag. I have used a Diamond and it is indeed as bad a most reviewers are claiming it to be.
