Iam having one HELL of a time getting this ROM on my device. I did have the near official II WM6.1 ROM on it (from XDA Devs; and it also had SPL 3.29 installed as part of THAT ROM), and everything goes fine, until the progress bar dialogs appear on both the device and my PC. the process errors out with communications error 262. I recovered, tried again, errored out with 262, recovered, tried again, etc. No luck.

I flashed it back to the released version ROM that came with the device and tried again...same results.

I pulled out my MBP and tried running the update on the Vista side of my Boot Camp partition, same results, same error, etc. I can't even get the stand alone version of Hard SPL 3.28/.29 on this thing!

Does anyone have any ideas here?? I'd like to try out Dutty's Diamond ROM...

Thanks in advance for any help!

I definitely would love to see a video on how to flash roms and how to back up data etc. This was be extremely useful since all these performance upgraded roms are coming out. Please and thanks!

Before he left, Doug said he would make a YouTube video chronicling the steps to flash dutty's rom to the tilt. Are you or Chris L. willing/able to do the same?

If you are thinking of updating to a Diamond based ROM then I highly recommend this one. My Tilt is an entirely new machine. It runs great, GPS works like it should, and the entire interface is much more responsive.

Like they recommend you should upgrade to the latest HardSPL to see the true benefits.

I installed it Friday night, its fast. I'm not having any troubles after installing the HTC album update to correct a problem with the camera album interaction.

The built in SIP support is great as well as the speed improvement. I'm loving it so far.
