One of the biggest issues we always here about are those folks that just cannot connect their device via bluetooth to their PC or laptop.  Well you are not the only one and “fyiguy” from BostonPocketPC has experienced the issue too.  It really was not a major issue for him since he generally syncs mostly over the air with Exchange but Steve was was recently trying to use SideShow to setup for the Boston Pocket PC meeting and it wouldn’t work so he tried a few “work arounds” and finally got it to work.

This is a MUST READ and definitely an item to BOOKMARK for later reference.

Unfortunately the BostonPocketPC article, while very informative and well written, does not resolve the problems for everyone (dare I say most).

I followed his instructions to the letter but when I got to the part where I was supposed to select a Generic Adapter from Bluetooth Radios I find the list empty (no Generic Adapter or any other selection\options).

I've reinstalled SP3 (could not roll back to SP2) and reinstalled the IntelliPoint 6.2 drivers several times but still no Generic Drivers. It may very well be because the author is working with Vista and not XP which may come with the drivers he's referencing.

I don't consider installing Vista a viable solution to this issue.

Hi all. I have been syncing my Nokia E71 with my PC (Outlook 2007) via Nokia PC Suite 7.1.18.0 with no problem. However a few days ago I started having a problem: every time I turn my computer on, I get a message saying "BTTosMgr stopped working" . This is the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. Any Idea why?. I have not installed any application or hardware driver.

Of course this problem stops my phone syncing.
