Back in the day before my Tilt, I was a Palm OS user. Upon moving to Windows Mobile, I naturally wanted to take as many programs with me as I could. Metro was one of them. Metro is a freeware guide for public transportation. This easy to use program will get you around almost any city worldwide by using public transportation. I’ll use Chicago as an example. In Metro, the Chicago file has all sorts of landmarks, as well as every bus and subway stop in the city, and trains that branch out into the suburbs in their database (It includes everything). You can choose any of those locations and it will automatically calculate a route for you, telling you exactly how to get from point A to point B, how much it will cost, and how long it will take you. It even has lists of all bus/train routes for easy viewing. There are hundreds of cities in its database, but you only have to pick the ones you want. I highly recommend this program for someone who travels frequently.Download Metro at http://metro.nanika.net (Select Pocket PC) |
