I've installed the demo verison to my UMPC and it has greatly improved the sound quality on it. Because this is one thing that I care about when I install these kind of programs. And No, it did not observe any hit on my processor by using it. In fact, I felt that the processor was getting less hit. About battery life... If the processor is not getting hit that much you wont be wasting that much of battery to care about it. did you test it?
