hmm.. I haven’t been keeping up on my HTC news apparently…  a few days ago HTC 20080725101143827 announced the ‘Touch Dual’, don’t know how I missed this one, but it is now available in Korea and I’m sure it’ll have a US presence shortly as it is in direct competition with the BlackJack III. It looks like a rather cool little phone for those looking for something compact, but yet with touchscreen abilities.

SEOUL, Korea (AVING) — <Visual News> HTC rolled out its slim 3G smartphone ‘Touch Dual’ aimed at Samsung BlackJack III in Korea market, which is designed with stylish pure white color.
Adopting a 2.8-inch touch screen, the Touch Dual features touch screen navigation with an overlaying GUI called ‘TouchFlo’ that lets users swipe through media libraries and provides scrolling for web pages or documents.
Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the Touch Dual supports HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity. It also incorporated 2M camera and microSD card slot.
It is available in Korea market through SK Telecom for below 600,000(KRW).

  • Oh yes there is more news to go around, I ran across that this morning on Aving obviously and thought it was newsworthy for this site since it was about the HTC and I personally haven't heard of it, I must've missed it somewhere...

I wouldn't take offense, i'm sure none was intended. but i've mentioned 2 things in the comments that are worth posting i'd think lol
  • hey.. I didn't know about it.. and I don't think all of our reader do either.....but then again my life doesn't revolve around phones either and I normally don't go around putting other people down either for posting something interesting but if that's your thing, go for it and have fun at my expense...

The Touch Dual has been available from Best Buy for a month now. Quad band and north american 3G. Way old and behind the times.

Might be... the PR says it was released on Korea on the 25th of July.. most phones are released overseas before coming here, but anything is possible...

Isn't this the same unlocked phone that BestBuy has been selling since May?

    The specs look identical:
