I can confirm that the Touch Diamond is coming to Canada. As well as the above listed pricing it will also come with a $30 UNLIMITED email, web and IM contract (through Telus Mobility). $45 gets you all the above with texting too.

In addition, you can expect Telus to sell the Touch Pro. It’s not announced yet, but expect it. I shall say no more :D

Sprint WILL get the Touch Pro. My guess is November 08. As for availability in CDMA…

The HTC Touch Pro and Tilt are made by the same company. It’s not made by Sony.

Also note to the comment above about the Sony Xperia. If you have been reading lately it has already been delayed until the Q4 of 2009 so dont expect that anytime soon. Second, to consider something a “Tilt 2″ it would have to be from the same manufacturer not a different one like sony.

This phone is definately going to be for AT&T. AT&T has said for a while that they would have a Tilt 2 coming out this fall actually and I would be willing to bet everything that this is the “Tilt 2″ that they have been talking about.

The Diamond is going to sprint, that’s confirmed. Doubt the Touch Pro will follow… As for price, everyone thinks it’ll be like $1,000… The Diamond is selling in Canada soon for $149.99 with contract, $449.99 without.

I think someone else stated it. There are 2 different types of phones coming. GSM & CDMA. Sprint has been identified as one of the carriers and there is a leaked photo with the Sprint logo out in the interwebs.

However, experts are not mentioning AT&T OR T-Mobile as potential carriers. I’ve been hunting everywhere and all they say is Verizon / Alltel.

So it’s completely unclear as to who will get the GSM version but review sites aren’t mentioning AT&T or T-mobile at all.

I doubt that AT&t would have that much interest in it as the Sony XPERIA is already confirmed. They are so closely matched that I would think that a Touch Pro XPERIA variant would be the Next TILT II. I would be totally amazed if we see the Tilt II this year. Q1 2009 is my bet. Hell, AT&T will be the last to release the 6.1 ROM for Tilt owners!

BTW, the video states the TouchPro comes with 1300Mah battery… Which is kind of disappointing.

I put an 2300Mah extended battery on my TyTN and get a solid 2 days of real use out of it. Hopefullt the OEMs will be able to produce extended batteries that will fit under the cool diamond back panel

This is what I’m waiting for… I’ve already passed on the idea of upgrading to the tilt (I’m eligible now for upgrade) even for a 150.00 refurb.

I considered buying an unlocked one, but for 900.00 it would need to come with a telepathy headset
