ewpkss1 I have to apologize as I was totally asleep at the wheel on this one. I have been so “wide open’ at work that I have had little time to barely keep up! Thanks again to the TiltSite Team for keeping things going! Last week, Ilium Software released eWallet 6.1 which is a FREE upgrade for any registered 6.0 users. I gotta say, that Ilium packed enough into this release to call it 7.0 and charge everyone, but unlike other companies, they released it as 6.1, and will offer it free. So what’s new with eWallet? Check it out:

  • Personalize your card fields to work best for you: assign a type to any field in a card. Set multiple hidden fields, phone numbers, live email or web links, choose which fields to use with AutoPass – any type of data you want!
  • Get quick access to your most-used cards: create card shortcuts and build a Favorites folder for the info you want to open fast.
  • Design the background you want for every card: choose a gradient or solid color, add one of our free background images or create your own!
  • Search smarter: the Find feature now gives you a list of all possible cards that match what you’re looking for.
  • Save time and make custom templates fast: creating and editing your card templates is now easier than ever.
  • Work faster on a non-touchscreen device: Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone) users can now enjoy easier card editing on their devices.

I know I have said it before, but if you are new to TiltSite, and new to Windows Mobile Devices, one of your first software purchases needs to be eWallet. I keep EVERYTHING in eWallet and I can rest assured that I will always have the information I need handy when I need it. For an example, I keep every serial number, model number, and specification about everything I buy in eWallet. I am always caught at the store trying to buy replacement parts and can never remember what size, or type of part I need for it! And of course it is good for just about anything you want to securely tuck away from other people.

You can try eWallet for FREE for 30 days, or just take my word for it an purchase the Professional Version for $29.95. This includes a VERY handy desktop editions that syncs with your device and speeds up making changes when you need to using your Desktop PC.

Ilium Software Releases eWallet 6.1

July 9th, 2008

ANN ARBOR, Mich.–July 9, 2008 – Ilium Software announced today the release of eWallet 6.1, the latest upgrade available for their award-winning secure information and password manager software. eWallet is available for Windows Mobile Professional/Classic (Pocket PC) and Standard (Smartphone) devices, Palm OS, Windows PCs, U3 Smart Drives, and UMPCs.

eWallet 6.1 is packed with features that make it more customizable and easier to work with. Now users can assign a type to any field in a card. Cards can be created with multiple hidden fields, live email and web links, phone numbers – and many other data types. Plus, users can define which fields they want AutoPass to work with. As always, customized cards can be saved as templates for future use, and eWallet 6.1 includes updates to template editing, so it’s now easier and faster to work with any saved template.

Other major features help users save time when accessing their information. eWallet 6.1 introduces shortcuts, allowing users to build a Favorites category and store shortcuts to their most-used cards. eWallet’s Find feature has been updated as well – searching now brings up a list of all possible card matches, so users can access the info they’re looking for faster.

More benefits of the upgrade include the option for users to choose between a gradient background or a solid color for their cards. Of course, the ability to add background images is still available, and users can design their own images or download Ilium Software’s free Image Pack. And Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone) users will be happy to discover that eWallet 6.1 makes it much easier to edit cards on their devices.

In addition to the eWallet 6.1 upgrade, Ilium Software has also announced that eWallet will be available for BlackBerry devices within the next two weeks. Users interested in the BlackBerry version can sign up to be notified of its release; Ilium Software’s blog and news site will also be updated with more information.

eWallet 6.1 is a free upgrade to all registered owners of eWallet 6.0, which was released in December 2007. Upgrade discounts are available for all users who own a version of eWallet prior to 6.0. More information about the new release, including how to upgrade, can be found on Ilium Software’s website.
