Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta 1 Released

imageDespite the recent delays and bugs, the newest version of Opera Mobile has finally been released as a public beta.

“Opera Mobile 9.5 completely reinvents the Web browser on mobile phones. It provides an elegant browsing experience, while also making smartphones a new home for cross-platform applications. It marks a turning point in the ongoing evolution of the Web.”

New/Improved features include:

  • Pan and zoom
  • Save pages and/or images
  • Improved User Interface
  • Faster
  • Opera Dragonfly

    After using Opera Mini 4.1 for 2 months, Opera Moble works a lot better. Pages actually open and open much faster.

    This official beta has more bugs and problems then the past PRE BETA'S, not worth the wait at all

    I will second not going anywhere this release, if it disables notifications what else is it touching that it has no business touching. Scary!
  • I installed it.. played with it for a few minutes, seems fine to me... takes a bit to get used to after IE, but it's rather cool

    It won't run on my tilt- I get a "cannot initialize Direct Draw" error on startup.
