Vendor: Incipio

Price: $24.99

This review is for Incipio’s kickstand case, in black leather.

The Incipio KickStand Case is a compact case that provides easy access to your Zune at all times. The case is elegant, slim, and made of premium top-grain leather. The durable construction offers long-lasting protection for your Zune and is backed by Incipio’s legendary lifetime warranty.

Features

  • Kickstand folio design allows you to watch your videos while the case holds your device.
  • Made of high-quality, premium top-grain leather.
  • Suede lining on the inside.
  • Clear shield protecting the screen
  • Easy access to all buttons and features.
  • Backed by Incipio’s lifetime warranty

This case is also available in Chocolate Brown and Tan

There is no storage for the headphones but I did find it easy to roll-up my headphone, drop it into the corner and close it in with the plugs hanging out.  Care must be taken to protect your Zune from sliding out of the case when turning it upside down since this is a top loading case.  I didn’t feel that this was a practical case since you have to rest the case on a surface to enjoy the functionality of it, which I noticed has no fasteners or grip to prevent the case from falling over .  It does not fold into itself very well for handheld viewing making the overall case bulking to hold in one hand as you navigate the touchpad.

Conclusion

Overall, this is a quality made case for $24.99 but it does not safely hold a Zune device with it’s top-loading slot or provide for comfortable single handed use (you have to hold it like a book or fold it in on itself making it difficult even for my large hands). Protecting from scratches, the case holds your Zune 80GB device but offers no storage for headphones although you can roll and force them into the corners of the case when closing.
