Samsung Innov8. A True Multitasking Phone?

When I say multitasking, I am not talking about software app multitasking, I am talking about functions of a phone.

Let’s take a look at the recently announced Samsung i8510. I don’t know much about it, but it seems to do a bit of everything. Most phones that have cameras do good at either the phone part or the camera part. Rarely does a phone do both well. The only real example I can think of is the Nokia N95. What about a phone with 16gb of internal memory, an 8 Megapixel camera, an FM Tuner, and a slick UI? Can the phone actually work well? Knowing Samsung, yes.

Beyond snapping shots, it also has an FM radio, Wi-Fi, a large display with an accelerometer, and an optical mouse (we’re not sure how the latter works). It has a 3.5mm headset jack, stereo Bluetooth, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a music player, and A-GPS. And of course, it makes calls as well.

Also called the i8510, the Samsung Innov8 is a quadband GSM handset that supports the 1900 and 2100 HSDPA bands. It should launch in the European market by next month with other regions following in September. Pricing details are not yet available.

Looks pretty sharp if you ask me. I am beginning to think the Samsung is the new HTC. Yes, I know Samsung has been around longer, but they have been on the up and up since the BlackJack launched. I am very impressed.
