What’s on your Tilt?!

Posted by Kristofer on July 14, 2008 – 10:56 am
closeThis post was published 1 year 3 months 26 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.

So, I want to know what’s on your Tilt?Screen02

You don’t have to go into details about everything as I’m about to, but I’m just curious as to those programs that people feel they ‘must have’ on their Tilt to survive. This is an effort to possibly learn about some new programs out there or options available to us.

Also the staff of Tiltsite should take note of this post as well, I’d like to see you post as to what you have on your Tilt as well, maybe take turns, one or two people per week can tell us what’s on their Tilt!

So continue on to see what’s on my Tilt, I’m basically listing things with a brief description and a web-link to it where applicable so you can get it or learn more…

So here goes my stuffs:

SPB Screenshot- I use this to capture screenshots.. hmm, did I have to explain that?!
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-spb-screenshot.html

WiFiFoFum- Great hotspot finder, even included Radar view and list GPS locations of hotspots
http://www.aspecto-software.com/rw/applications/wififofum/

VisualGPSCE- Cool little GPS Enabling program that gives information
http://www.visualgps.net/VisualGPSce/default.htm

TCPMP- The Core Media Player, the one and only
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/

TOMTOM- err.. TomTom GPS Program
http://www.tomtom.com/

PocketRAR- Far superior to Zip
http://www.rarlab.com

MS Office Suite- self explanatory… blah, blah, blah

Home Customizer- I think we know what this is right?
http://www.pocketemu.com/news.html

HTC Task Manager- Excellent Task manager
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-htc-task-manager-v2-0.html

VSPainter- Interesting little image program
http://vspainter.virtualspaghetti.com/

ELF Calculator Skin – on XDA somewhere, just search for it

HTC Audio Manager – I love this for my music!

PHM Registry Editor- Arguably the best registry editor out there
http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/

M&M Marshall WaitCursor Skin- changes busy cursor to HTC version
http://www.marshallskins.ilbello.com/php5/htdocs/index.php

P1Tater ICBM – very cool game, touch screen Missile Command Basically

Pac-Man -self explanatory

SRS WOW HD Drivers – it really does add to the sound experience
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-srs-wow-hd-sound-driver.html

Equinoxe Wizard reTouched Dialer Skin – over on XDA, can’t find the exact link..

MyMobiler – not exactly on my Tilt, but it’s a great little program to view your phone on your desktop, and it even allows you to take videos of what your doing on your phone!http://www.mymobiler.com/

Of course I’ve got music as well, and a couple movies, not going to go and list all of that..

and I’ve got a Transcend 4Gig microSD card for my storage, going to be upgrading to 8gig I think soon…

It might look like a lot, but really I don’t have much on my phone, I don’t need anymore than that really…

So tell me what ya got? Or if you think there’s something better than what I’m currently using then tell me!

Where did u get ur clock? I can't find anything like it!
  • Tom K
    What is this?
“25. NiteStalker.net Spb Shell Today (automatically brings me to the Spb Shell Now screen bypassing the Today screen - I love it.)”

search for it on xda-developers. it's a program someone there (nitestalker) wrote so that the Spb Mobile Shell automatically comes up whjen you start your phone - you don't have to click on "Spb Menu" to get it going.

    What is this?
"25. NiteStalker.net Spb Shell Today (automatically brings me to the Spb Shell Now screen bypassing the Today screen - I love it.)"
  • I agree with Keith.

For the record, Kaiser Tweak does have a setting to keep the screen on while on a call.
  • Keith
I love posts like this because you get to see what everybody else uses. You never know when you're going to see a little app (which may be completely obscure) thats going to do something you've been looking for your device to do for a while.

    Pocket Controller Professional
    SPB Backup
HTC Home Today Screen Plug in
Device lock (remapped to the PTT button)
    Kaiser Tweak
    Task Manager 3.1 by FDCsoft
    TCPMP
    Iguidance 3.0
  • I don't add software unless I really (really) want the functionality, so here's my short list:
BeyondPod - podcast downloader and player (also does newsfeeds) - I tried others, but this is the best IMO
MyMobileR - this app was the one that finally took my Tilt from 'costs me time' to 'saves me time' - much easier than using the stylus and slide-out keyboard
Google Maps - great supplement to my Palm-based sat nav
KaiserTweaks - just installed this to see if it keeps the screen on while on a call.
  • Hey.. I found a new one that will be staying on my phone as well.. ClearTemp.. a few of you mentioned it and I figured I'd give it a try, well worth it!

I only had 17mbs free on my phone, ran ClearTemp and now have 34 mbs free!
  • There's a little arrow button at the bottom right next to 'full screen' under the page numbers.. that's the exit button
  • Mark Johnson
I have a question. I downloaded VSPaint but how do I exit the applictaion? It seems like it is impossoble to shut down, without having to pull my battery out. Someone please help =).
