I see from you screen shots that your icons have color. What do you have to do to add the color?

I had significant battery drain from what was 2+ days of battery life down to less than 8 hours. In addition, the problems with the phone locking when the screen goes black for the power save, which happens way too quickly, in which I had to repeatedly go through 6 or 7 keystrokes just to get back to where I could enter more numbers for my call was extremely annoying. I guess they have fixed some of the other issued I encountered, but these two were enough for me to uninstall the program. Most annoying however is Vito Technologies refusal to return any of my e-mails. I have sent them numerous e-mails over the last month requesting a credit of the software cost and I have not received a single response. They have lost my business no matter what they do with the product. All they would have had to do is respond to satisfy me.

VITO say they’ll try and address the battery drain issue in the next release.

I hope they hurry up as I want to buy this app!

I haven’t had any response from them. I tried 1.02 and it seems to be the same: Last night I went to bed with the phone fully charged, and eight hours later it was down to 23%.

Have they addressed the battery issues in 1.02? I have an HTC Diamond and Winterface 1.01 sucks about 10% of the battery each hour with this software installed. No noticible increase in RAM use.

I most certainly HAVE noticed a battery drain on my Tilt ever since I installed it. If I go to bed with my phone mostly charged (90%) it’ll be mostly discharged (15-20%) by the time I wake up 8 hours later.

I’m currently on 1.01 but I’ll upgrade to 1.02 on the off chance that it’s been addressed. I registered it before I noticed the battery drain issue — love the interface — and although I logged a support call with VITO I’m yet to receive a response.

I have the latest version on my Tilt and I notice a good bit more battery drain since installing it. I love everything about the program, the ease of use, the speed it travels from one page to another, how I can put icons right where I want them. I’m having a major problem with the screen lock engaging while I’m on a phone call, and I couldn’t unlock it while still on the call so had no use of the screen, just the keys themselves (I had made the call, so the screen was unlocked to begin with). I haven’t ever had a problem with my face doing anything to the screen since I don’t hold it right up against my cheek when I talk. Those two issues were enough for me to uninstall it. Bummer.

I thought about the possible battery drain, but never noticed anything, out of habit I throw my phone on charger every other day and I didn’t have to do it anymore or less while using the interface, so there’s not much difference… at least that I noticed..

I’m coming up to the end of my trial of Winterface and I agree with pretty much everything you said here. Genius in its simplicity.

There is still one MAJOR gripe I have with this product. The arc/restart. It is such a pain in the next when using Opera since every time you want to scroll left, Winterface pops up. It’s really annoying.

My other gripe is with Vito in particular. There was nothing on their site prior to the release of Winterface as to what their new, fantastic product was going to be. I bought their Suite of products, which came with the God-awful GoodWin (Winterface’s predecessor), mainly for the other three products that came with it. Wouldn’t you know it? I bought the suite on a Friday and they release Winterface the following Monday and they upgraded the Suite to replace GoodWin with Winterface. Even by redownloading the Suite again, my Activation code doesn’t work on the Suite any longer. Not only that, but the previous version which I’d purchased is no longer available for download. Here’s to hoping I don’t lose any of the software. Or at least to hoping I get a response to the email I sent to “customer service” about it.

hrmm.. it seems the videos aren’t embedding in the page, when you click it won’t play them, it just opens YouTube page.. hmm, working on fixing that…
