image Someone over on XDA was able to get their hands on an AT&T flashed Touch Pro, paying only $900 (!) for it. Maybe this means we’ll be seeing it here soon…

Check it out at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416343.

UPDATED: It’s not physically branded AT&T, but looks like it’s using an AT&T rom. (thanks AdamNimrod)

Nah, not retarded, just skeptical/hopefull/jealous. Thats all.

God, Nimrod has been spreading shit ever since I bought the thing and posted about it, it has no CMOS camera on the front so it's obviously not a Euro version flashed with an AT&T ROM. I've heard people say they prefer the numbers set in with the letters rather than at the top, I can't say I've used any HTC full QWERTY. Don't thank Nimrod for anything, he's a retard. :)

Could it be a very good clone...

After looking at some pictures of the HTC branded device I see that the AT&T version has no front facing camera (reminiscent of the Tilt?) and the keyboard layout is totally different. Not only are the numbers not at the top (which makes no sense) but the FN, Ctrl, WiFi buttons are in completely different locations.

I guess we will find out more when he gets the thing and does a full review on it.

This guy also posted the same thread on the AT&T forums and was very overpowering/irritating about the whole thing.

If this truly is going to be what the AT&T version looks like, then I am very dissapointed in the keyboard. I wanted all the numbers on the top row like it was designed for.

If that is an AT&T ROM, maybe thats why AT&T hasnt released 6.1 yet for the Tilt... they are too busy playing with the Touch Pro.
  • You're right, I saw the AT&T; on the screen and just called it 'branded AT&T;'. It must have been flashed with an AT&T; rom and not have a sim card in the pictures.
  • AdamNimrod
Its a pre-promo phone that is not AT&T branded but it does seem to look like it runs on the AT&T network... although Im not sure how sine it is displaying a 'no SIM card found' icon. I have no clue how it sees the AT&T network when it does not have a SIM card to detect any networks.

They keyboard is also not the same as we have seen in the past for this phone (the whole reason of having 5 rows on the keyboard was to have all the numbers at the top)

My guess is either the pictures are not the actuall pictures of the phone, or something else is fishy.
