I agree that this is a bad idea. Who in their right mind would buy something like this for the retail price they’re offering? I have no use for it. I use Pocket Controller to view my phone on my labtop and it works great. Not as clear as on the Celio but for a fraction of the price I’m not complaining.

I’d rather save the $400 towards the purchase of the Samsun Omnia i900 once AT&T gets it’s stubby hands on it. BTW, what’s the ETA on the Omnia?

It’s not even a neat idea, it’s rather stupid.. I’m mean it basically means you’ll be carrying two laptops around with you.. yes PPCs are nice, but when I need real work done I’ll use my laptop when I’m out and about not my phone, even with this device… essentially you’re using the computing power of your phone so that’s sure to have a drain on the battery of the phone.. it doesn’t mention (unless I missed it) about what type of battery drain you can expect though…

I would spend MAYBE $200 on something like that. More likely to spend $150. Consider the fact that it’s just an extension device. You can spend $20 and buy an application that will allow you to do the same thing with a computer.

I agree that for the $400-500 price range you should be looking to a netbook. Way more functionality, and not much bigger if at all.

It’s a neat idea. And if it were MUCH cheaper I might rock one for trips when I don’t need the laptop. Still a bit too pricey for me though.
