I don’t think the point is to fully compete with the Ipod but rather fill a niche that they don’t cover. If it saves $50 to get something with a compacity that suits a person better then it does want they would want. I could get a Zune 80 but I know the storage is so much more than I would ever need which is why I would rather save some money and get a 30 gig version (though I want to see a 30gig version of the 80.)

The storage isn’t the only thing people are looking at.
There are people who don’t care of a price, and there are people who don’t. So far, the Zune has been cheaper than the iPod’s counterparts, and the hardware/software is at par (if not better) with Apples.

It all comes down to what you like. The iPod isn’t the standard of portable music. It’s what you want your MP3 player to do and how you want it to do it.

I’m personally looking forward to the Zune120. I’ll hold much more than my 30, and I’m actually stoked on the games.

Right now, people don’t know about the zune. Having something that is “less storage than the iPod” is going to pass people’s mind. If the 120 GB is the top of the Zune storage line then the word the Zune team will be hearing is…NEXT!
