Coolest Slide Out Keyboard Sound Ever!

tilttransformer Normally I do not enable the slide out keyboard open and close sounds. Mainly because the factory installed sounds are so lame. But, over at XDA, they have posted a way to change, or in this case add the coolest Slide Out Keyboard Sound EVER! Remember the Animated Series the Transformers that was recently made into a movie? Well now you can have the Transformer’s sound every time you open and close your Tilt/TyTN II’s keyboard!

To Download the Transformers .wav file and perform a series of registry edits to add it to the Sliding Keyboard Directory, head on over to XDA-Developers or CLICK HERE. Be sure to thank BigBHaller!

Further into the thread, there are several members who have created cab files so that you don’t have to make the registry edits as posted in BigBHaller’s post. To get just the Transformers cab file, CLICK HERE for mfrazzz post and cab file.

If you would like a collection of different Sliding Keyboard wav files all contained in a cab, CLICK HERE. This cab file contains the Transformers, Star Trek Sliding Door, Star Wars Light Saber, Window Sliding, & Zip Sliding wav files that will be installed to your device easily.

    It's 'ok'. honestly I'm far from impressed on the loudspeaker on my Tilt. Pretty sad indeed.

    However, a sound I came across in the cabs linked to from here is my new slide-out sound (a higher-pitched/alien-sound)

    I dont think the speaker handles the bass involved with the xformer noise well.

    if you dl any of LV26 ROMS he uses the Transformers sounds as well as R2D2 i likem both, much better than the standard files that comes with it.

    You should try the sounds raiisak cooked into his v8 rom. I believe they are from the touch pro.

    This was one of the 1st things i did on my tilt after watching the youtube videos and searching xda site, the transformer wav sounds the best in that cab.

    Works great on my Tilt II!! Like the Star Trek and Transformers...Ended up disabling sound. For me the sounds EVERY time I slide the keyboard is annoying. Cool though if I want to turn it on. Thanks for the link/post!!!

    Added TF and SW Lightsabers a few weeks ago. My friends think its cool; my thinks its creepy. She likes the xylophone sound.
  • This is actually the shorter "quieter" wav file. Navadi's (spelling might be wrong) is really loud! LOL

    I love the transformers slide out, and yes, my wife already thought I was a freak to begin with, now she wants me committed! :)
  • Don't know exactly which version this is, but there are a couple TF sliding sounds going around, and only one 'good' one.. at least in my opinion, and yeah I've had my slider set to TF for quite a while now.. interesting the looks you get from people!
