The tipster says yes… If it does in fact drop tomorrow are you planning on upgrading?

Are you ready to converge?

Not sure myself, but I do only use official ROMS, so I think I will.

Someone should call HTC or AT&T and see what their new excuse for not releasing the overdue upgrade and when the next false alarm is.
  • Please dont tell me this was another false alarm.

    This is so frustrating.

Does anyone have any facts. Sure wish we had soemone from inside htc that really knows.

8:20 eastern time and still no update.
    I hope it's released today.

Looks like the site is updating or something now. I can't get to any of the Tilt portion of the site anymore...

My AT&T rep told us late last week that it will be out tomorrow as well.
  • I doubt it will be tomorrow... They even changed their site and took down the teaser download.

But I am still keeping my fingers crossed for it.

Will definitely be downloading and installing the official 6.1 release as soon as it's released, mostly for threaded text.

I do have concerns about reinstalling TomTom6...I've done a couple hard resets and TT6 would easily reinstall once the microSD card was inserted, but I'm not sure how it will respond to the new ROM.

also... am i the only one NOT putting too much stock in this tip?

i'm a little weary of "att said" attached to specific dates... last time it was "the end of july".... it's august... *shrug*

I haven't seen anything OFFICIAL from AT&T either. dont get me wrong.. i'd LOVE for it to be true! (voice command is stock?!? nice!).. i'm just kind of cautious about depending on that info being true...

definitely. I will always prefer a rom from the manufacterer OVER a cooked rom... on ONLY use cooked roms currently because they're BETTER than the stock rom. So I'll check to see if it's a step down for me or not. if it isn't.. i'll likely hard reset and reset just before the bloatware is installed and go on from there.

i find that cooked roms often break something while fixing others. they tend to work flawlessly at first... and then taper off into a cycle of resets and freezes that either cause me to hard reset or flash a different rom until i can settle on one. I've settled on one now.. but would definitely like to use a stock rom that i'm sure is customized specifically for my device and SHOULD work the best.

I just wish I could get an email the minute it came out!

Not sure I'm brave enough to do it in the middle of the week and risk being without all of my apps for a day. But I'll most likely do the deed over the weekend.

I've been waiting (and waiting) for the official att 6.1 rom but I'm concerned the ATT 6.1 rom contains the radio from hell making it very difficult to change to a non att rom in the future. If this is the case I'll just flash to a non std rom and hope I'm not one of those stuck on a white/bars screen.
