Goto XDA developer for ROMs. Read alot! More than just ROMs there. But you have to do alot of homework, and alot more reading.

Don't kill me or criticize please, but I've been looking around to find out what all this flashing and cid and stuff, and i dont understand any of it. Could someone help me at all? I really want my Tilt to have a not-sucky interface. Any places i can download a good Rom?

I usually cook my own and flash about once a week ;)

I believe there was a blog on this already but can anyone throw out a top 5 of the best roms they have tried so far? Perhaps give a brief discription why? I am ready to try my first flash, but dont feel like going through the trial and error on these different roms if i can just get the best or fastest one first preferiably one that is super stable. Thanks in advance for everyons imput.

Ive had my Tilt since march...and believe me ive learned to flash 2 to 3 weeks a ago..and NOW! im in love with my cell phone...wokrs perfectly, i use L26KDV11 now i just flashed it yesterday...and its working perfectly i was using Version 9 before..once you know how it works, you know that nohting wrong will happen....i actually almost bricked my phone!!..since i had no knowledge of cooked roms... i bought it on ebay and when i got it it had the dual v2 rom..i had a problem a problem, so i tought that i had to do an upgrade not knowing that i had to flash it before!!!..But hey my phone is still working!!

I used to flash about once a week. I have since cut this down to about once a month. I love my current ROM right now and am planning on sticking with it for a great while. BTW I am using HyperDragon's ROM. He just came out with a ROM based on the Samsung Omnia i900...I'm so tempted. Probably will try it to see if there's a big difference or not.

I only have my 8525, but I have flashed about 6 or 7 diffrent ROMS to date. I currently have one that I have stuck with for a little while as I am pleased with it.

Its awesome having WM6.1 on my 8525.

once every few months. It used to be a lot more than that when i had my 8125.. mostly because i'd run out of space and want to reset anyway rather than uninstall stuff i don't use (tons of game demos and what have you).

nowadays. i find a rom i like.. stick with it until it breaks and move on.

there are a couple of chefs on the xda website that whenever they release a new version i will always flash it just to see if it's any better than the last, but i am good for flashing at least 3x a week. currently i am in love with Raiisk IBI v8 it is pretty stable and i love the all black theme. so far this has been my favorite, (untill he releases a new version) I really do hate the official ROM i had a lot of issues with it!

I flash at least once a week in most cases. I just enjoy trying new roms to see which works the best.

I'm not kidding when I say I sometimes flash at least 3 times a day. I know I'm crazy. But I mostly only flash once a day.

I have flashed my 8525 before but never my Tilt.. Though I never use the AT&T crap they inject into their ROM's, the Tilt has more then enough memory for me to deal with.

I flashed a few times when I first got it, to see which ROM worked best for me. Honestly, most of the ROMs out there are much faster than the official Tilt one. It's a noticeable difference.
