According to HTC, their Google Android based phone is still on track for release at the end of this year, despite an analyst stating that according to their sources, HTC is not having a good time developing the device.

However, HTC has come out and said that their Android phone will be available by the end of 2008, making HTC the first to the market with an Android based device.

  • @Adam: Android is already running on the Tilt. http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagena...

Just keep in mind that this is a very early version. Pretty much the only thing you can do is make and receive calls and from I can guess, not very reliably.

It will be a nice breath of fresh air to have an HTC Android phone.

Maybe then it can be ported and make our Tilts run like they were meant to.
