A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

Everyone is all excited about Android in hopes that it will provide an Apple-like experience without having to buy Apple. I don’t like Apple personally, but the iPhone is a well done device. I am not one of those that are super excited about Android, but I do look forward to other competitors forcing Windows Mobile into innovation. This week there has been a nice amount of Android news…

  • Spy Shots of the HTC Dream have surfaced, nice ones.
  • FCC info on the HTC Dream
  • Android to have an Application Store

read on for more info…

1st, the exciting spy shots. Engadget has gotten their hands on some spy shots of the HTC Dream. I am not hating on it, but I am not impressed. Am I the only one that thinks this thing is fugly? The OS looks nice, but the HTC Dream is ugly in my opinion.

Android Guys found some info at the FCC Site that reveals the specs of the HTC Dream and it seems to be a very skinny devices, ugly but skinny.

More from Engadget – Google talks Android Market app store

androidstore1 androidstore2 androidstore3

Google just posted up some details on the upstart OS’s app distribution system, Android Market. Just like Apple’s iPhone App Store, Android Market will run on Android phones like the HTC Dream and allow users to browse and install apps, as well as comment on and rate apps they’ve already purchased.

Regardless of the delays and my opinion of the HTC Dream, thing sure look like they are moving forward and that Android, barring major software flaws, should make a nice splash in the handheld arena. Where are the other devices running Android? Why is the HTC Dream the only leaked phone running Android? We shall see!

  • I have to agree with you on that one, the phone does look a bit ugly and cheap looking. It is designed by HTC after all and simply comparing it to their other phones, I think they could have done a better job. Who knows, it might look better in person but it looks more like a toy for a kid than a phone you would want to show your friends, in my opinion.

This doesn't look good at all to me first off the phone doesn't even look that good and a app store???? I hope we aren't seeing some type of iphone copy cat here.......but the only thing i really see desirable about the phone is the interface
