i need to know what kind of fuse this thing uses b/c somehow it kind of fell apart and the fuse came out in my car now i cant find it but i found the tip and all i need is the type of fuse…i have NO clue what kind to get…

Thanks for the review, nice job. The problem I have with this unit is you have to plug and unplug two wires every time you leave the vehicle. I’m constantly in and out of my car. I’m looking for something that looks similar but has a cradle type bottom to it that the iphone can click down onto. It would be much easier to push it down, pull it up with one hand.

Also, I don’t want another wire sticking out the top for phone audio. I’d like a unit that communicates to the iphone with bluetooth like a bluetooth headset and transmits the audio to the FM transmitter and through the stereo.

Also, I’m wondering if you’re incorrect about the wire connected to the top being needed for other apps like Pandora. I have an ipod FM transmitter I use for my ipods and iphone and it directs Pandora audio out the bottom connector just like it does with ipod audio.

I enjoyed it too…but there is a flaw somewhere in it’s design. I still use one of the three that I own, but the hands free aspect doesn’t work anymore…only the FM transmitter.

If you find another model that works better, let me know.

Just like Chady, mine stopped working also. I removed the fuse and found it to be fine. I really enjoyed the use of the i-Kit, so I’m a little bummed and perplexed?!?

It beeps because the phone is trying to inform you it is fully charged. If you turn on the vibrate you will notice it vibrates instead of beeping. Use the audio instead of the charging port for sound input and you will notice their will be no more beeps.>>>>>>>>

This comment above is 100% incorrect. the unit beeps when there is NO iPhone connected! Emeka, I’m afraid your conclusions are wrong.

Apparently the new models out there have no beep but I’m happy with mine – I turn up the output volume to max on the iPhone and the beep isn’t noticeable unless it’s a quiet piece.

They stop working after about 30 days… not sure why… All three…just stopped working.

BTW – I find if you set the iphone volume to full for playing in the car the beeps are less noticeable as the beeps don’t change in db output. Then turn the volume on your head unit accordingly – you can still hear when music is low but it’s less intrusive.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that gets the beeps. I wonder if there is a way to disable it? I’d happily take it in bits in order to stop it.

i just bought an i-Kit and love it to pieces; then i heard the ‘beep’……. damn, that’s annoying. Other than the beeping problem it’s a lovely device – just wish they could have worked out a way to have music play and use as a handsfree phone without that damn 3.5mm cable.

If there is a way to open up the i-Kit and snip a wire to turn off the beep can someone let me know?
